Web Designer in Cape Town Since 2007

Nearly 20 years of helping businesses build, rescue and grow their online presence.

Hi, I’m Stephen De Lange, WordPress Developer & Digital Solutions Specialist, founder of Estar Web Design.

Since 2007 I’ve had the privilege of working with businesses of every size, from entrepreneurs launching their first company to established organisations whose websites have become critical to their daily operations.

Over the years I’ve learnt that building a website is only the beginning.

The real challenge is creating websites that are reliable, scalable and continue to support a business as it grows. That’s why my role has evolved far beyond web design. Today I help businesses build new websites, modernise ageing platforms, solve complex technical challenges and provide the long-term support that keeps their online presence performing at its best.

Whether it’s a simple one-page starter website, a sophisticated WooCommerce store with multiple supplier integrations, an international publishing platform or an established business website requiring ongoing development, every project is approached with the same goal:

To deliver a solution that genuinely helps a business succeed.

More Than Just Web Design

Every website has a purpose.

Some need to generate enquiries.

Some need to process thousands of products from multiple suppliers.

Some publish content for an international audience.

Some power accommodation bookings, tourism businesses or professional services.

Others simply need to work reliably every single day because a business depends on them.

Rather than applying the same formula to every project, I take the time to understand how each business operates before recommending the right solution.

Sometimes that means building a brand-new website.

Sometimes it means improving what’s already there.

And sometimes it means rescuing a website that’s no longer performing the way it should.

Long-Term Partnerships

Launching a website isn’t the end of the journey.

Technology changes, businesses evolve and customer expectations continue to grow.

That’s why many of my clients have worked with me for years.

Not because they’re tied into long contracts, but because they know they have someone they can call when they need advice, support, improvements or new functionality.

From hosting and maintenance to performance optimisation, SEO, security and ongoing development, I work alongside my clients to ensure their websites continue to deliver value long after launch day.
