About This Project

The Challenge

Alphen House needed an experienced WordPress developer to take over the ongoing management and development of their website. Rather than rebuilding from scratch, the objective was to enhance the existing platform, improve functionality, and introduce new features while preserving the investment made in the original website.

The Solution

Working within the existing framework built by the previous developer, I quickly familiarised myself with the Avada theme and its architecture, despite it not being my usual development platform. This allowed me to seamlessly maintain the website while introducing significant improvements, including performance enhancements, new functionality, and a fully integrated online booking system.

The Result

Instead of the expense and disruption of a complete rebuild, Alphen House now has a modern, continually evolving website that supports their business while retaining the existing framework. By adapting to the original developer’s work, I was able to deliver new functionality and long-term support without compromising stability.
